If you punch out both three pins, leaving the corners and the five, it's called a TV shot. Personally, I think they should be worth more since they are the hardest to hit, but that's not the point ¯_(ツ)_/¯ The pins on the outside corners are the 2 pins, they're worth, well, 2 points. You would think this would make for lower scores, but, there's a catch (which can make scoring a pain sometimes.) I've heard some people call them duckpins before, but if I'm not mistaken, duckpin bowling is a little differentĪnyways, 5 pin's main difference from regular 10 pin is the fact that there are actually only. They are similar in shape to 10 pin, but they are a little shorter, and a little fatter. This, is what the pins we bowl with look like. The Canadian 5 pin bowlers associacion, and Youth Bowl Canada, which is what I am a part of. There are are two big organizations that oversee 5 pin bowling. It's the second most popular form of bowling in Canada, right being candle pin, which is kinda like a hybrid between five pin and ten pin. I see that there are not many other 5 pin bowlers, and that there's interest to learn, so I though I'd show you guys what 5 pin is about!ĥ pin bowling is pretty much only done in Canada, and like, 4 Northern states.
